About Me

Most of my photography centers around nature and the ever-changing landscape, wherever I might be at the time. It is my belief that the inspiration for nature photography must begin with a love of the outdoors.

I received my first 35mm camera in the late 1970's and I've been hooked ever since. With the abundant amount of information available through books, magazines and the internet, one can learn all sorts of technical details about how to photograph just about anything. But to really capture something that evokes an emotional response from a viewer, one must first appreciate nature for what it truly is and for all of the grandeur that it has.

My journey as a photographer has been a process, and continues to be a process. Experimentation proves what works and what doesn't work. Photography is a never-ending journey and there is always more to learn. The passion that drives us to improve is the same passion that stirs us to photograph in the first place -- the desire to perfectly capture a place and a moment in time that can be remembered and shared.
